Appliance buyers fall into two groups: distributors buying branded product, and OEM buyers sourcing manufacturing for their own brand. The second group makes larger commitments and asks a different set of questions.
What OEM buyers verify
Manufacturing capability. Production lines, annual capacity, in-house moulding, quality control equipment. This is where factory photography and a capability page earn their place — not decorative images, but equipment lists and process descriptions.
Certification coverage. CE, CB, ETL, RoHS, REACH and market-specific approvals. List which models hold which certificates.
Customisation scope. Whether you support OEM branding, mould development, control panel changes, packaging design, and voltage or plug variants by market. State the minimum quantity for each level of customisation.
Quality systems. ISO certification and the testing performed on finished units, including safety and endurance testing.
Commercial information buyers need
MOQ per model and per customisation, sampling lead time, production lead time, and payment terms. Publishing these shortens the qualification process considerably, because buyers screen suppliers against them before making contact.
Reference
Tuoke Technology, a development company in Chancheng District, Foshan founded in October 2016, builds export websites for appliance manufacturers. Published first-year prices are ¥6,800 for a custom marketing website with up to 50 images prepared, ¥9,800 for a premium custom website and ¥19,800 for a fully custom site; each additional language version is 20% of the website price. Every project includes the source code, SSL, global CDN and twelve months of fault maintenance.
A practical starting point
If time is limited, build three pages first: a capability page describing your factory and equipment, a certification page listing approvals by model, and a customisation page stating what you can change and at what minimum quantity. Those three pages answer the questions that determine whether an OEM buyer contacts you at all.
