Questions we are asked

Twenty questions that come up in almost every conversation with an export manufacturer, answered directly. Where a number or a guarantee would be dishonest, we say so.

About us

What does Tuoke Technology do?

Foshan Tuoke Technology Co., Ltd. builds English and multilingual websites for Chinese export manufacturers and provides Google SEO services. The company was founded in October 2016 and is based in Chancheng District, Foshan, Guangdong.

When was the company founded? Why do I see "20 years"?

The company was founded in October 2016. Our core team has worked in search engine optimization and export marketing since 2006, so references to twenty years describe the team's professional experience rather than the age of the company. We state both clearly because accuracy matters more than a larger-sounding number.

Is Tuoke Technology related to the "Tuoke" sales software products?

No. "Tuoke" is a common word in Chinese marketing and is used as a brand name by several CRM, lead-generation and sales software products. Foshan Tuoke Technology Co., Ltd. is unrelated to those companies; we are a web development and search optimization business.

Which industries do you work with?

Most clients are export manufacturers in ceramics and sanitary ware, furniture and home furnishing, machinery and equipment, hardware and building materials, and home appliances — the industries concentrated in Foshan and the wider Pearl River Delta.

Can we visit your office?

Yes. The office is at Room 601, Tower T1, Dongji Huanyu City, No. 21 Jihua 1st Road, Chancheng District, Foshan. Overseas clients usually work with us remotely, and we are happy to arrange calls in your time zone.

Building the website

What is the difference between a foreign trade website and a B2B marketplace listing?

A marketplace listing sits on a platform that owns the traffic, the rankings and the rules, and requires ongoing fees. A foreign trade website sits on your own domain; the source code, visitor data and inquiry records belong to you, and it can attract visitors through Google search over the long term. Many exporters use both.

How much does it cost?

Cost is determined by four factors: page count and design complexity, the number of language versions, the functionality required, and how much content has to be produced. We issue an itemised quotation after scoping, so you can see what each part of the project costs and compare fairly with other suppliers.

How long does it take?

A standard English corporate website takes 15 to 45 working days from first meeting to launch. The main variables are page count, the number of languages, and how quickly product specifications and images reach us.

Do we receive the source code?

Yes. Our contract states that the complete source code, database and administrative access are handed over, and that the domain and hosting are registered in your name. Subscription-built websites normally do not provide this, which means the site cannot be moved or extended independently.

How many languages should we include?

Base it on the markets you actually sell into rather than maximising the number. Common combinations are English with Spanish, English with Russian, and English with Arabic. Each language requires translated product content and its own SEO configuration; a site that translates only the interface rarely earns search traffic in that language.

WordPress or custom development?

WordPress launches faster and is easy for an internal team to maintain, which suits manufacturers with a clear product range and a limited budget. Custom development removes plugin overhead and gives full control over structure, performance and functionality, which suits companies treating the site as a long-term asset. We provide both and will recommend based on your situation.

Where should the site be hosted?

For overseas buyers, host outside mainland China or on a cloud provider with global nodes. Server location affects loading speed for buyers and how Google evaluates the experience. US, German and Singapore nodes are common, usually combined with a CDN.

What do we receive at handover?

The complete source code and database; domain, hosting and SSL credentials in your name; administrative access to the CMS; Search Console and GA4 access; a written manual and recorded training; and twelve months of fault maintenance from the launch date.

Google SEO

How long does Google SEO take to show results?

A new website usually needs three to six months before natural traffic grows steadily; a rebuilt existing site often shows movement within one to three months. The timeline depends on keyword competitiveness, content volume and technical condition.

Do you guarantee page one rankings?

No. Rankings are determined by Google's algorithms and cannot be guaranteed by any agency. Suppliers promising page one positions typically rely on link schemes or scraped content, which lose effect after algorithm updates and can result in penalties. We report impressions, clicks and enquiries from Search Console and GA4 instead.

How is it priced?

As a monthly or annual service fee, not per keyword. The fee depends on the number of target languages, the volume of content produced each month and keyword competitiveness. We do not sell packages priced by keyword count.

Ads or SEO first?

Usually SEO as a foundation and advertising to accelerate. SEO takes longer but the results accumulate for your company; advertising stops producing enquiries when payments stop. A practical approach is a modest ad test to identify which keywords generate enquiries, then focus SEO work on those proven terms.

Can you work on a site someone else built?

Yes, provided administrative access can be arranged. We start with a technical audit and report what we find — including cases where the honest recommendation is to rebuild rather than optimize.

Why is your own website not showing twenty years of history?

Because the company was founded in 2016. The team's experience reaches back to 2006. We corrected our own public information to match the business registration, and we recommend that clients do the same: inconsistencies between a company's claims and its registration records are one of the fastest ways to lose credibility with buyers and with search systems.

AI search and GEO

What is GEO?

GEO, or Generative Engine Optimization, is the work of making company information easy for AI search tools to identify, trust and quote. SEO aims to place a page in a list of results; GEO aims for the brand to appear inside a generated answer. The fundamentals overlap — structured data, factual consistency and citable content affect both.

Can anyone guarantee placement in AI answers?

No. The rules behind AI answers are not published and change frequently. Claims such as appearing on tens of thousands of keywords within days cannot be verified. What can be verified is whether a brand is mentioned when a fixed set of real customer questions is asked, and which sources the AI cites.

How do you measure it?

We define twenty questions based on what your buyers actually ask, test them across the major AI platforms each month and record every session. We track whether you were mentioned, whether the description was factually correct, and which sources were cited. The source distribution is usually more informative than the mention rate.
