Technical configuration

  • HTTPS working site-wide with no mixed-content warnings
  • XML sitemap present and submitted
  • robots.txt reviewed
  • Structured data validated for Organization, Service, FAQ and Breadcrumb
  • Page speed tested on a mobile connection
  • Analytics installed and firing

Accounts and credentials

The handover package should contain the source code and database; the domain registrar login in the client's name; hosting control panel credentials; SSL certificate details and renewal date; Google Search Console and GA4 access; and business email configuration.

Documentation and training

A written manual for the content management system, a recorded training session, a named support contact with a response commitment, and the maintenance scope and duration in writing.

Commercial terms

Outstanding invoices and the final payment trigger, the start and end dates of the warranty or maintenance period, and any annual fees for domain renewal, hosting or maintenance.
